Automatic Batch Blending Plant

Frigmaires ABB (Automatic Batch Blenders) plants are designed for quick and efficent blending of lubricants precisley in short intervals. Volumes ranging from 1000 upto 20,000 1 to 20m³ltrs can be blended at a time .

PROCESS

CHARGING:

The recipe components are fed into a plc/scada programe and charged into the blender in a sequence. All base oils and bulk additives are fed into the blender from a header line with dedicated piping using the plc/scada programe.small quantities of additives are charged using a drum decanter or from additive bunkers. All soilds are added manually thru the manhole cover located on top of the blender.

MIXING:

Once all components are charged into the blender, the components are mechanically/pneumatically mixed and recirculated in the blender. The blender is provided with a jacket for heating the mass as and when required to get a perfect and homogenous batch. Normal mixing times vary between 1-2 hrs per batch.

TRANSFER:

On completion the agitator is stopped and the batch is automatically discharged thru filters into the respective holding tanksready to be packed in small packs or drums. Recirculation pumps can be provided to further add and mix componentsin the holding tank if required.

CLEANING:

The blenders can be cleaned by using a neutral oil running the agitator and recirculating the same using the transfer pumps. The oil can is then transferred to a holding tank.
